SOUND EXPEDITIONS
The vision of Sound Expeditions is to soundtrack cities, activating spaces and places both familiar and unfamiliar to take on a new layers of meaning and experience. Sound Expeditions commissions and documents site-based sound art and compositions. Sound Expeditions Indianapolis features compositions from thirty musicians including Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Caroline Shaw. Several of the pieces for Sound Expeditions Indianapolis were created as part of a National Science Foundation funded project entitled StreamLines. An exhibition of the completed Sound Expeditions project is on display at the Indiana State Museum. The project has been featured on Next City.
